Bitcoin Caused Me To Think Differently About My Life And How I Approach Money.

Hey everyone! I just want to share my story so feel free to read if you would like :)

I am a 25 year old male supporting my girlfriend through schooling while working full time and things have been pretty stressful as you might expect. I’ve been in crypto since 2019 and bought into bitcoin ($300) for the first time in 2019. Unfortunately sold that as I really didn’t know much about what I had even bought as I was 17 years old and hearing about people getting rich lol.

Well, something similar happened to me recently and it has caused me to completely think about many things differently.

I got into trading meme coins…. Ugh I know. Listen, there are people that can do this professionally and properly and PNL their way up to 100xs and can handle that type of risk management. I definitely CANNOT. And I’ve come to the acceptance that I might never be. And that is OKAY. It was hard seeing so many influencers saying “you are right around the corner” and drawing me back in until I had enough with revenge trading and just gave up on it.

Man I felt stupid. I had wasted $500 on quite possibly some of the stupidest digital assets money can buy. I lost sleep from this. How could I be so foolish? How could I have lost so much control? How could I risk so much in pursuit of greed?

I know in the world of trading, 500 might be an entry for some people. For me it just hurt. I felt pushed back in being a good future provider, money management and thinking I had control. I felt like I had nobody to talk to that would understand.

I then started looking back into Bitcoin. I know this sounds like the stupidest thing I could do after what felt like such a heavy loss for me, but for me… it just showed me how broken fiat is… I understood something, financial stability doesn’t come from sweating over absurd parabolic charts, or quickness, or greed. It comes from planing, planting seeds, patience, and being resourceful.

I fully believe, as long as the internet is around, Bitcoin will be a literal golden asset. As we see the middle class slowly die, I feel like the future higher wealthier class will be making big deals through Bitcoin, and the rest of the population will be moving to stable DeFi like coins as an adoption of the official currency. It just makes simple sense. And I see it with the rich and their recent attitude towards crypto as a whole. Bitcoin is limited. Bitcoin is simply genius.

Some of you might be rolling your eyes at me, either because I sound nuts, or I’m late to the party. But I’ve started treating the fiat I own differently. If I don’t get a coffee in the morning, I buy Bitcoin. Any money given to me For birthdays or Christmas, Bitcoin. Bonuses at work Bitcoin. I’ve started keeping a physical journal of every single Bitcoin purchase I make, the date and the price. To keep track of time periods, to keep my spending in check and to look back on. I’m working on getting 3 separate physical cold wallets and spreading my asset in case if anything happens but at the end of the day I have a really really really positive outlook on this and I really really think this is it. I think this is the asset that sets us up all for a few generations.

Trading meme coins might have been the stupidest, genius, ridiculous, expensive way to get on this path I’m currently on, but it has given me more optimism, hope, and healthy habits for me and my girlfriends future.
