For people in high-inflation countries: do you actually spend crypto, or convert to a stablecoin and just hold?

All Cryptocurrencies

I work in crypto growth in LATAM and something keeps nagging me about how we measure "adoption." On paper, transaction counts and volume look like usage. But from what I see on the ground in Brazil, most people aren't spending BTC or altcoins day to day, they park value in USDT so their savings don't melt, and touch fiat only when they have to.

So I'm curious about the actual behavior, not the charts:

-Do you spend crypto directly, or convert to a stablecoin and hold?

-If you hold stablecoins, is it savings-protection, moving money, or something else?

-Has it changed as local on/off-ramps (like PIX in Brazil) got better?

Trying to figure out if "stablecoin as a dollar bank account" is a LATAM thing or the same story everywhere the local currency is shaky.
