Have I been scammed? Ether.fi USDT TRC20 deposit address disappeared after I sent funds

Hello,

A few days ago, while logged into my account in the app on my iPhone, I selected “Add funds” and then “Share your deposit address.”

I had downloaded the app directly from the Apple App Store.

I chose a USDT address on Tron/TRC20 and sent a deposit to the address shown in the app. The transaction was confirmed on-chain.

However, I later saw that the USDT Tron/TRC20 deposit option/address was no longer available in the app. Between the time I generated the address in the app and the time I sent the deposit, I received no warning or notice that Tron deposits were being disabled or were no longer supported.

The deposit has since been sent back to the originating address, but it is still effectively lost and has not been credited or recovered to me.

Has anyone experienced something similar with ether.fi or TRC20 deposits? Is there any way to verify whether the deposit address belonged to them, and recover the funds if it did?

I’ve contacted support and asked them to credit or recover the deposit, but I’m concerned because the address disappeared from the app and the funds are still not available to me.
