Money sent but cant find it on chain..

Hello everyone, someone sent me usdt from binance to a pockets. they stated they despatched the money (gave me a accomplished screenshot however didnt really take note of the txid) but at the flawed handle however even on the flawed tackle i can't see the transaction or the stability on chain.. I didn't save the txid which i know silly me…. however when i checked the pockets stability and i checked on bscscan or etherscan i can't discover the cash even at the fallacious tackle.. do you assume they actually despatched it? or they by no means despatched it however simply stated its the improper handle? i've checked all sort of chains… i can't contact the individual now to ask for a txid..
