Strive has expanded its Bitcoin treasury once again, purchasing another 124 BTC for approximately $10 million as the company continues building one of the largest corporate cryptocurrency portfolios.

The latest acquisition brings Strive’s total holdings to 43,124 BTC, placing the company within reach of several major publicly traded Bitcoin investors.

While the purchase is relatively small compared with Strive’s recent acquisitions, we believe the company’s financing strategy and growing Bitcoin reserves deserve closer attention.

TL;DR

  • Strive purchased 124 BTC for approximately $10 million, increasing its total Bitcoin holdings to 43,124 BTC.
  • The company used existing cash and its SATS preferred stock program to finance the acquisition.
  • Strive remains the fourth-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder, with ambitions to climb higher before the end of 2026.

Strive Bitcoin Holdings Continue to Grow

According to the company’s latest filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Strive acquired 124 Bitcoin between October 24 and October 30.

The company paid an average of approximately $80,526 per BTC, including transaction fees and expenses.

This latest purchase follows a particularly active October, during which Strive acquired approximately $1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin.

The company’s accumulation strategy has already attracted attention across the cryptocurrency industry.

In September, we covered how Strive purchased 1,107 Bitcoin for $94.5 million, bringing its holdings above 27,400 BTC.

Since then, its reserves have expanded considerably.

We see the latest acquisition as another indication that Strive intends to maintain its Bitcoin-focused investment strategy, even as cryptocurrency prices experience volatility.

Strive Introduces Another Way to Fund Bitcoin Purchases

One of the most interesting developments involves how Strive financed its latest acquisition.

Rather than relying entirely on cash reserves, the company used its SATS preferred stock at-the-market offering program for the first time.

The financing arrangement, launched on October 26, allows Strive to sell up to $1 billion in preferred shares over time.

This provides additional flexibility for future Bitcoin purchases and other corporate expenses.

Strive reported approximately $490.4 million in cash and cash equivalents as of October 30, compared with $504.4 million one week earlier.

We believe this financing approach highlights an important trend among corporate Bitcoin investors.

Companies are increasingly developing capital-raising strategies that allow them to accumulate cryptocurrency without depending exclusively on operational cash flow.

However, preferred stock financing also introduces dividend obligations and other financial considerations.

Can Strive Become the Second-Largest Corporate Bitcoin Holder?

Strive’s growing Bitcoin portfolio has brought it closer to the largest publicly traded holders.

According to reported corporate treasury figures, Strategy remains the clear leader with approximately 849,327 BTC.

Other major holders include:

  • Metaplanet: 44,000 BTC
  • Twenty One Capital: 43,514 BTC
  • Strive: 43,124 BTC

These figures place Strive just 390 BTC behind Twenty One Capital and 876 BTC behind Metaplanet.

CEO Matt Cole has previously discussed the possibility of Strive becoming the second-largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holder before the end of 2026.

We believe reaching that position would represent an important milestone, although the outcome depends on future purchases by competing companies.

Metaplanet has also demonstrated a commitment to Bitcoin accumulation.

We previously examined Metaplanet’s expanding Bitcoin treasury strategy and its growing position among major corporate investors.

Corporate Bitcoin Competition Raises New Questions

The competition among Bitcoin treasury companies extends beyond the number of coins held.

Investors must also consider financing costs, shareholder dilution, liquidity, and the long-term sustainability of accumulation strategies.

Strategy, for example, has repeatedly used capital-market financing to support its cryptocurrency investments.

Our earlier report on Strategy’s Bitcoin financing programs explored how these arrangements can support future acquisitions.

We believe similar considerations will become increasingly important for Strive as its treasury expands.

A larger Bitcoin portfolio can strengthen a company’s cryptocurrency exposure, but it does not automatically translate into improved shareholder returns.

What Comes Next for Strive?

Strive’s latest $10 million acquisition demonstrates that its Bitcoin accumulation strategy remains active.

With 43,124 BTC already on its balance sheet, the company is approaching an important position in the corporate Bitcoin rankings.

We will be watching whether Strive accelerates purchases, expands its preferred stock financing, or adjusts its approach as market conditions change.

For now, its continued accumulation reinforces the growing importance of corporate Bitcoin treasury strategies in the cryptocurrency industry.
